About Us

How We Operate

For those residing in proximity to I-35 between Kansas City and Oklahoma City, we offer home time on a weekly basis or even more frequently, as freight allows.

Alternatively, if your residence aligns with customer facilities situated in Schuyler NE, Monmouth IL, Greenfield IN, or Tar Heel, NC, Junction City, KS, you can anticipate returning home every 7 to 10 days. Residents outside of these regions will experience varying intervals.

Irrespective of your location, our preference is to limit trips to a maximum of 3 weeks. This approach is rooted in the understanding that our drivers typically approach the regulatory 70-hour limit and require a 34-hour reset.

Effective communication is key, and we firmly believe that addressing any challenges hinges on both parties being well-informed. We acknowledge that the nature of the job can induce stress at times, and we hold deep respect for that aspect of the experience. Our commitment lies in fostering an environment where transparency and mutual understanding prevail.

Testimonials

Aaron McLean

My first impression of Satchell Creek was that they are all extremely nice people, and they are very welcoming for new drivers. Honestly, I enjoy working here because they know my worth as a driver, and they value me as an asset to the team. As a driver here at Satchell Creek, I have been given the opportunity to grow as a driver and become confident in my ability to safely get down the road. They also allow me the time to be with my family and see my kids. The best part of my job is traveling to new places and seeing all the things I would not get to see working a regular 9 to 5. My truck is my home away from home, it is a Freightliner Cascadia and is comfortable and easy to maneuver. I have worked for bigger companies in the past, where you are nothing but a number, and I will never go back. Here at Satchell Creek, I am a real person and not just a number. Great dispatchers, good benefits, and knowledgeable mechanics. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

The Satchell Creek Express difference is that they take the time to get to know their drivers. We are all a team but more importantly, we are like family. This company goes above and beyond for me to make sure that I get the home time I need, but also the paycheck to make the world go around. When I came found Satchell Creek, my first impression was that they were an exceedingly small company, and they were very driver oriented. This is by far the best company I have had the opportunity to work with. I make great money and I also see my family. One of the best parts about the job is being out on the road and knowing that I am respected as a truck driver. I love my truck; she is pretty to look at and gets the job done efficiently. The one thing I would change if I could, would be more cross county loads, we do not go to Northeast or California, but I would love to run those cross-country miles. We do a lot of Midwest runs and go to a lot of the same places over and over. That is great for some people, but I would like to mix it up a bit. The pros far outweigh the cons here at Satchell Creek. I enjoy this job.

When I first ran into this small outfit, Satchell Creek Express I was surprised at how long they had been in business. I was also surprised at how welcoming they are and how much they want you to succeed. This company has had my back throughout the time I have worked here both personally and professionally. One of the things I appreciate is how hard they work to make sure my wheels are turning. They keep the truck well maintained and give me all the miles I need. There are many drops and hook loads that save me a lot of time and money. I love my truck because it has plenty of room to move around and I do not feel too cooped up. Everybody in the office is always nice and treats me like a person rather than a number. That is a big deal to me, the humility of the operation. The dispatchers know my personality and they know what will work for me. I also like the respect we are given as drivers.
